What is considered fruit in Europe

In the European Union, fruits are legally considered the following:

  • melons
  • sweet potato
  • ginger
  • cucumbers
  • rhubarb
  • watermelons
  • pumpkins
  • tomatoes
  • carrot

This law allows the legal production and export of conserves and jams made from these plants, which according to EU rules can only be made from fruit.
For effective cultivation of climbing “fruits” of the European model, we recommend using a wallpaper grid.
