Covering agrofibre

White Cover Agrofibre ™Agreen
White agrofibre is a non-woven covering material for plants that reliably protects them from negative environmental influences.
Agrofibre is made from polypropylene—a synthetic material characterized by increased strength and high resistance to negative impacts. First, the polypropylene is heated strongly, and when it begins to melt, it is stretched to form fibers. The resulting fibers are welded or interwoven, and ultraviolet stabilizers are added. The finished spunbond is then cut and packaged.
There are 2 main varieties of agrofibre:
- White (density 17-50 g/m²): This material protects plants from cold, frost, heat, and wind.
- Black (density 50-100 g/m²): Used for soil mulching to prevent weed growth.
The ™Agreen assortment also includes black and white agrofibre (with a density of 50 g/m²), which combines the best qualities of both types and serves as an ideal mulch.
Main characteristics of ™Agreen agrofibre
™Agreen covering material is characterized by increased strength, has a uniform density and structure along its entire length, and contains a UV stabilizer that reduces the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation.
You can buy white ™Agreen agrofibre of various densities from the dealer network throughout Ukraine. The denser the spunbond, the better it protects against frost. However, it should be noted that a denser material has a greater weight.
How to choose the right agrofibre by density?
The higher the density of the agrofibre, the better it protects against frost, but the heavier the material. The right choice depends on your needs:
- Thin (17, 19, 23 g/m²): Ideal for covering seedlings in open ground. It will protect against light frosts, and young shoots can easily lift it without damage.
- Medium (30, 42 g/m²): Recommended for building greenhouses.
- Dense (50 g/m²): Used for making mini-greenhouses. Due to its heavy weight, it is not recommended to lay it directly on plants.
Why you should buy ™Agreen agrofibre
Spunbond is a white material that lets sunlight through well, which helps warm the soil. At the same time, it retains heat, preventing it from escaping. As a result, the soil under the fabric heats up better during the day than open ground and cools down more slowly at night, allowing heat-loving plants to survive frosts. In addition, air freely passes through the agrofibre, which is necessary for the plant’s respiration and photosynthesis.
Spunbond allows water to pass through but prevents it from evaporating quickly, retaining moisture. At the same time, it allows the soil to breathe and does not form condensation.
Main advantages of white ™Agreen agrofibre
White ™Agreen agrofibre is an investment in your harvest that pays off from the first season. Thanks to its unique properties, you get:
- Ideal microclimate: The material lets sunlight through well, quickly warming the soil, while retaining heat at night, protecting against frost.
- Durability: Thanks to the UV stabilizer, the material lasts for 5-6 seasons.
- Optimal water and air exchange: Agrofibre lets water and air through but prevents rapid moisture evaporation. This allows the soil to “breathe” and does not form condensation.
- High yield: Accelerates fruit ripening by 2-3 weeks and increases yield by 25-30%.
- Comprehensive protection: Protects plants from frost, scorching sun, strong wind, hail, pests, and birds.
White agrofibre: usage
White agrofibre is used in agriculture to protect plants from adverse conditions and fruits from birds and pests. In most cases, it is used to cover garden beds. Agrofibre can also be used for greenhouses and hothouses, for sewing bags to cover young trees, berry bushes, and ornamental shrubs in winter.
Cover agrofibre for protecting different crops
- Agrofibre for strawberries: Accelerates the ripening of berries and preserves the marketable appearance of fruits during heavy rains.
- Agrofibre for potatoes: Allows you to plant tubers earlier (in March) and get an early harvest in May when prices for new potatoes are highest.
- Agrofibre for cucumbers: Light and thin material with a density of 17-19 g/m² protects delicate leaves from damage.
- Agrofibre for tomatoes: Material with a density of 17-23 g/m² is suitable.
- Agrofibre for carrots, beets, and other root vegetables: A denser material (23-30 g/m²) is suitable for these crops.
- Agrofibre for trees and shrubs: It can be used to cover young trees, berry bushes, and ornamental shrubs in winter.
How to properly lay agrofibre?
- Clear the area of weeds and stones.
- Plant seedlings or sow seeds.
- Lay the agrofibre and secure it along the edges with stones or special staples.
- Remove the fabric only for weeding or harvesting. Afterward, return it to its place.
- After the season ends, roll up the material and store it in a dry, dark place.
