What is considered fruit in Europe
In the European Union, fruits are legally considered the following:
- melons
- sweet potato
- ginger
- cucumbers
- rhubarb
- watermelons
- pumpkins
- tomatoes
- carrot
This law
allows the legal production and export of conserves and jams made from these
plants, which according to EU rules can only be made from fruit.
