Application of agricultural fiber depending on its type. White and black agricultural fiber

Agrofiber is a special material made from 100% polypropylene by thermoforming polypropylene thread. It does not contain toxic substances and is not susceptible to rot, mold, or pests. Agrofiber is resistant to a variety of environments, including acidic and alkaline, and can remain in place even when liquid fertilizers are applied.

Agrofiber can be used for a variety of crops, including vegetables, fruit trees, berries, and flowers. It contributes to the creation of optimal conditions for plant growth, providing the necessary soil temperature, humidity, and protection from insects and birds without blocking sunlight. Agrofiber provides effective protection against frost, hail, and weed growth, no

There are different types of agricultural fiber, depending on which the methods of its application will change. White agricultural fiber is used to protect plants from low temperatures and pests, black - for mulching.

How to use white agricultural fiber?

The material of this type is used as a covering material to protect against low temperatures. One of the most important characteristics of white agrofiber is its density. It is from this parameter that the material will be able to protect against frost. Growing vegetables under agrofiber is like growing in a film or glass greenhouse. But compared to such greenhouses, agrofiber has many advantages - durability, air and moisture permeability, and lack of lens effect. In addition, a greenhouse can be made using agrofibre.

White agricultural fiber can be used in several ways:

  • Directly for covering on the ground. In this case, the material is used to cover the soil with seedlings. For this, a thin agrofiber is chosen, which will not prevent plants from developing. As the culture develops, it will pick up light material. This method is used to cultivate many fruit crops, greens, and vegetables.

  • On temporary structures. There is a pattern - the higher the structure, the denser the agrofiber should be. In addition, when choosing the density, it is worth focusing on the peculiarities of the cultivated crop and the climatic conditions of the area.

  • In greenhouses. In some cases, such use of agricultural fiber is rational - it minimizes costs for heating the structure. In addition, the use of agrofiber inside the greenhouse allows you to get a harvest faster.

  • For the protection of perennial plants. With the help of white agrofiber, perennial plants are protected from the winter cold. You only need to cover the tree trunk with material to do this. The same can be done with bushes and other low perennials, in some cases, by making a frame over them.

Thus, white agrofiber has a wide range of applications and will certainly be useful in growing and caring for plants.

How to use agrofiber black?

Black agricultural fiber is used for mulching. And although there are not as many ways of using it as white agrofibre, this material has many advantages. Black agricultural fiber effectively fights weeds - using it, you can forget about the need to weed the garden. In addition, due to its qualities, the material creates a favorable microclimate above the soil surface.

The procedure for using black agrofiber is quite simple and involves the following steps:

  • Soil preparation. The land in the required area is cleared of weeds and collected.

  • Laying of agrofibre. Agrofiber is laid on the required area and applied to the edges with improvised means (sand, stone, logs) or special pegs.

  • Making holes. After the material is laid out and fixed, you can start making incisions for plants. Their size, number, and proximity to each other are determined by the characteristics of the cultivated crop.

  • Planting plants. Seeds are sown or seedlings are planted in the holes in the agrofibre. After planting plants, you can regularly water and apply fertilizers - the material from which black agrofiber is made is perfectly permeable to moisture.

Black agrofiber is especially often used when growing berries because in this case the fruits not only develop faster (this is facilitated by the special microclimate created by agrofiber for the root system) but also remain clean.

The use of agrofiber from weeds also eliminates the need to use herbicides, which favorably affects the usefulness of products, their environmental friendliness, and safety. For the agricultural fiber to serve as long as possible, and the experience of its use was only positive, it is worth choosing a quality material.
