Unique red nuts
In the
Kirovohrad region, a farmer grows unusual nuts with a red kernel.
Until
recently, red-kerneled nuts were mistakenly considered defective throughout the
world.
However,
thanks to the scientific work of Californian scientists, it was possible to
prove that such an unusual appearance of the nut is not the result of an
unknown disease, but a genetically determined result of cross-pollination of a
whole galaxy of different varieties of nuts.
Nuts have a
rich, sweet taste and are popular among restaurants, where they are added to
salads and served with desserts.
