Use of Agreen agrofiber for cultivating bell pepper
Pepper is an annual plant, so
you need to grow it every year. This plant grows well in the southern regions
of Ukraine. But with proper cultivation and use of Agreen agricultural fiber,
bell pepper gives a good yield throughout the territory of our country. Growing
peppers is quite difficult, so this process requires a lot of effort and time. Bell
pepper has been grown on an industrial scale for many years. This vegetable
brings a good profit if the crop is harvested in a short time.
Agrofiber
makes it possible to speed up the ripening process of bell peppers.
The use of Agreen agrofiber has several advantages:
- Protection against weeds. Using Agreen black mulching agrofiber will allow
you to forget about weeds. It also helps maintain optimal soil moisture
and proper air exchange. Black agrofiber for mulching the soil attracts
and accumulates more heat, which is an important factor for the growth and
development of the root system of bell pepper.
- Frost protection. Agreen's white covering agrofiber protects
bell pepper seedlings well from frosts that occur in early spring.
Covering bell pepper during frosts down to -8°С will help to fully
preserve the future harvest.
- Protection from adverse
weather conditions. Covering
agricultural fiber will help protect bell peppers from strong gusts of
wind and hail, which can damage the plant.
- Protection from harmful
ultraviolet rays. Agrofiber allows
sunlight to pass through, which is so necessary for the growth of bell
peppers, but at the same time protects from the scorching sun.
- Protection from insects
and birds. The covering agrofiber
protects against birds that want to try the sweet and bright fruits.
Bell pepper cultivating technology
Before planting bell pepper in the soil where it will bear fruit, you need to take care of the seedlings. It is not difficult to grow seedlings if you follow a certain technology. Pepper seeds should be planted in a special container or containers at a distance of no more than 3 cm from each other, the depth should be 1 cm. Under such conditions, the seeds will germinate faster. Already in a week you will be able to watch how the first sprouts appear. Seedlings need constant care. If the soil is dry, you need to water it. It is preferable to water bell peppers with warm water. If watered with cold water, seedlings will slow down growth or stop it altogether. Bell pepper is a heat-loving crop, so that the seedlings grow well, the temperature in the room should be between 23°С and 28°С.
At the beginning of May, after the appearance of the
first leaves, seedlings can be planted in a permanent place. Before planting,
you need to prepare the soil. It should be fertilized and loosened in advance.
During planting, the soil should be moist. Bell pepper should be planted at the
level of the upper root, so as not to cover the root neck, as this can cause
the development of black leg and other diseases. Seedlings are planted at a
distance of 35-50 cm from each other, the distance between rows should be 50-70
cm depending on the variety of bell pepper.
After planting the seedlings, bell pepper should be
covered with agrofiber. Since agrofiber has different widths, it is very easy
to choose a suitable option for shelter. The width of the agrofiber can be from
1.6 m to 15.8 m. The length is from 5 m to 250 m. It is also now possible to
purchase the agrofiber by the cut, then its length can be selected according to
your dimensions.
During the growing season, you need to make 2-3 top
dressings of bell pepper. At the same time, the Agreen agricultural fiber is
easily removed and pulled back over the pepper. You can loosen the soil in the
same way by removing or moving the agrofiber. If you see that the agricultural
fiber is no longer needed, then it is advisable to remove it completely and let
the bell pepper reach it. Agrofiber is made of durable materials and can be
used for several seasons. It is better to store agricultural fiber in a closed
room, so its service life will be longer. For the next season, it will be
enough to unfold the material and cover the sown beds. All properties of
agrofiber are preserved, and your crops will be reliably protected from bad
weather conditions and insects.
Harvesting
Most often, bell pepper fruits
begin to be harvested at the stage of technical ripeness. This means that they
are still green or have started to turn red. This harvesting system will allow
the peppers left on the bushes to grow to large sizes. Without neighbors on the
branches, they will receive more nutrients for growth.
Bell pepper fruits should be cut with the stalk, so
the marketable appearance will be better, and the fruits can be stored longer.
If black agrofiber was used for mulching during cultivation, harvesting will be much easier.
Bell pepper can be sent for sale or to the table for cooking various dishes
immediately after collection.
The use of
Agreen agricultural fiber when growing bell peppers will not only speed up the
ripening process by 30-35%, but also save time and effort. The yield will
increase, which will please any gardener and farmer. You will be able to
harvest before your competitors and get more profit when selling products. The
purchase of covering arofiber and agrofiber for mulching the soil fully
justifies itself. The funds that you spend on the purchase of materials will be
returned to you after a season as a result of large sales.
